Puppy Dog Tails

If I were the kind of person who named my quilts that is what I would name this one.

This quilt is going to be donated to a raffle at the big boy's YMCA Child Care Centre. He has been going there since about 3, and is still there on his days away from "Big Boy School (JK)". I recently was asked to join the Parent's Advisory Committee and gladly said yes. Last week we had a meeting about this year's "Art Gala" which is an evening of spagettii dinner, and art made by the children.

Of course I wanted to be able to do a little more to squeeze out some extra donations from the parents (usually they are only asked to donate for the piece of art their child has created). So here is it. This along with some other items will be going in to a raffle so that we can d our best to raise the $1500 that the centre has as it's goal!

The quilt itself is crib sized, with raw edge circles placed randomly across the quilt. I stitched the circles on to the top before the quilting process so that no matter what these guys are not going anywhere. I wasn't sure that I would like the end product, I really just wanted something quick and easy, but I'm going to be buying a few tickets myself, baby boy needs a new quilt.

I love this quilt! The Amy Butler dots on that gray looks great. I might have to try a quilt with the random circles and various sizes.
