2011 Bloggers' Quilt Festival

Oh the inspiration that this brings everytime that Amy does one of these. I'm also always amazed that with all the work that goes into it, she still keep doing one after another. BIG thank you Amy. If you read this blog at all your might recognize this quilt, which to this day is still my favourite. It was made while I was pregnant with my last little man. We didn't know what we were having so the colours fit either gender I thought.

I actually pretty much begged for this fabric from Tula Pink's mother! I e-mailed her store to ask her if she had any flutterby scraps left that she would be willing to part with. She was extremely generous and sold me this and much more, and didn't charge what she would have made on e-bay or even etsy. I quietly thank her every time that I see it (which is everyday of course.)
Drew still uses this quilt, it's much more of a baby lap quilt now more than anything else, but I'm sure once he starts walking it will be dirty and worn from being drug from once place to another.

The quilting is a simple straight line, which I find completely timeless. I love revisiting this quilt, and I hope that you enjoyed your visit with it as well! Come on, if nothing else, it was worth a reminder peek of what this guy looked like 10 months ago.
