What An Experience

Okay the next post will be back to quilting, as I have pictures of Gracie's brithday quilt to share, but the moment, I'm sharing a few select photos from the birth that I photographed on Thursday.

It was quite an amazing experience. If could birth like Ange, I might have an entire litter. Now normally, my friend is a little outspoken and tends to be a bit more bousterious than others (don't worry she knows it!), so I have to say I was a little worried that other pregnant women would leave the hospital with babes still in womb if they heard her labour. Much to my surprise she was so quiet, just going about the work of getting these babies born. No epidural, no screaming, no complaining, what an amazing job she did.

Hard labour lasted a couple hours with the end result of Emily weighing in at 5lbs 11oz and Carter coming right behind his sister 9 minutes later at 6lbs 11oz. I took over 300 photos for the day, here are a few of my favourite.

This is so touching. I'm having twins in December (or sooner). The photos of the two brand new babes is inspiring.
