Back to Reality

So I'm back to reality! After spending a week in the sand and sun, I have come back to the Canadian winter, with a head cold and freezing feet! The week off was nice, but it's never really a week away, as I sit thinking about the e-mails and voice mails I will have to return once getting to work.

I tried this morning a bit to catch up on my favourite blogs, but maybe that will be a lunch hour task. I also found out about a local 1st annual craft show that I'm thinking about setting up a table at. I've been working on a few little quilts, just 20x20, made of 2.5in squares, leftover scraps from jelly rolls and such.

I did not get to craft on vacation, I think that my husband would have killed me, but I did get to visit a great little quilt shop in Panama City, Quilting by the Bay. I got a ton of fat quarters etc. I also made a stop at a Joannes and well they had an amazing sale on. I almost needed an entire suitcase to bring home my fabric.

I would like to note the price difference though between my lovely friends south of the boarder and here. Here a fat quarter costs me about $5, there $2.50. $2.50 makes it affordable to craft, $5, not so much.

A few extra pictures from vacation. Enjoy!

Sounds like a fun time! Any vacation that allows fabric purchases is perfect! ;)

I agree with the price differences of fabric and the selection too! There's alot of online shops that mail to Canada, it's well worth it!

Purchasing fabric while on vacation makes the final project that more special :-)
