Another First

I am going to quilt-along with Cherri. I've been wanting to do one of these for ages, but never before have really felt like the pattern has stunned me, I like simple things, simple patterns, simple colours. So this is perfect, and since I'm still a beginner, completely managable.

I love the fact that not only is the pattern simple Cherri was nice enough to even lay out colour options! This might have been the kicker for me. I love when I see a quilt that someone else has done in the perfect colours, patterns, etc. I am NOT good at interjecting my own style into things yet, hense my love of pre-cuts.

This gets even better as I found a lovely online shop (in Canada) that is offering kits to go along with this quilt-along. Pam at Mad About Patchwork is selling kits for each of the different colours for $14! I could not believe it, and the fact that she's in my country and doesn't make me pay an arm and a leg for shipping is even better. I don't think that I would have gone through with this little adventure if I had not stumbled onto her site. Thanks for the push Pam, and here's to the adventure Cherri!
