I was totally not ready for fall to descend on us as it has in the past week. It's cold, and rainy and just blah. There are a few little things here and there that make it easier, and one of them is fall fairs. I love that we live in a city of 90,000 people completely surrounded by farming communities. I grew up very much in farm country and so it's homey to me.
This past weekend was one of the local fairs, and William and Baby Drew had great fun with livestock, next weekend, different town, different fair.

It has cooled off here in Kansas and we are looking forward to visits to a local children's farmstead, a pumpkin patch, and an apple cider mill. My little one loves seeing all the animals too. I wish this cooler weather would last a while before it turns too cold.
