Finally a Quilt

Yes it's true I'm finally back to showcasing a quilt, it's been long enough hasn't it? You will remember the fabric from a previous post, Hushabye by Tula Pink, I had been waiting for a project for it, and had decided my niece's 1st Birthday was the perfect reason.

As for the pattern, it's a bit modified from Camille's Wild Thing pattern. I wanted a little more of the cream in it, so I put the sashing in between the pinwheels, which I think turned out well for the quilt over all. I'm pleased with the way it turned out, I would have loved to stipple it, but I still have a fear of trying so I'm sticking to lines.

She looks like she's enjoying it already, oh wait, yes she's more enamoured by the tissue paper. Ahh the life of a one year old. Gracie had a great birthday party, all her little friends, it's hard to believe that it's been an entire year since we welcomed her little 3lbs 14oz self into the world. It was also the first chance I got to use my new logo, pretty sweet I would say.

I love your quilt and I particularly like the way you've quilted it. The lines are unique. I usually stipple and this has given me a new idea. Thanks for sharing.

I love the pink stripe at the bottom. I now realize I always do the symmetrical thing. I like the quilting as well.
