Birthday Quilt

So my niece Gracie turns one at the end of August and my sister-in-law did a little hinting that she doesn't have a nice quilt for her crib, and sleeps in just her jammies because all the other blankets need to be folded too many times. (Insert tear here!) I had already been thinking about making her a big girl quilt for her birthday, so it was fine.

What have I picked to use . . . .

Tula Pink Hushabye Layer Cake (my first layer cake ever!) and a basic jelly roll in Sugar. I don't have a pattern yet, but something simple, maybe a Carolina Patchworks one that I've got stashed away. We'll see . . . .
